To modify the content in your template, first place it into your Outlook editor from the Template Builder.

  • Use PoliteMail > Add Image to add or replace images
  • Modify text and colors using the Outlook controls
  • Links are tracked automatically

A responsive template will automatically stack columns based upon the size of the display area.

On mobile displays, the right-hand columns will fall under the left.

The height of the left and right columns will expand/contract independently depending on the content included within them.

How to Add Stories

  • Use Outlook > Table Tools > Layout > View Guidelines
  • Place the cursor into the row you want to copy, to the outside left
  • Use Outlook > Table Tools > Layout > Select > Row
  • Now Ctrl+C or right-click > Copy
  • Now place the cursor into the row above or below where you want to add, and right-click > Insert > Insert Rows Above (or Below)
  • Now Ctrl+V or right-click > Paste

How to Remove Stories

  • Use Outlook > Table Tools > Layout > View Guidelines
  • Place the cursor into the row you want to delete, to the outside left
  • Use right-click > Delete Rows
  • Use Ctrl+Z to undo

Content boxes

You can put whatever content you want to in these boxes. Remember that the left and right columns won’t necessarily line up, so add extra line spaces if you want to.

To change the background color of content boxes: place the cursor anywhere in the box, and use Outlook > Table Tools > Shading and select or input your desired background color.

Image placeholders

Images may be any height, select image and replace using PoliteMail > Add Image.

Make a PDF link

To make a pdf, start a new Word doc, and set your page margins to zero.

Now copy the entire Outlook email page, and then paste into the Word document.

You may have to adjust the page breaks to your liking.

Now in Word, save as a pdf file.

In Outlook, use PoliteMail > Smart Attachments to link to the pdf file.

How to link a video image

  • Use PoliteMail > Add Image to┬áinsert your own video thumbnail image
  • Say ‘yes’ when PoliteMail asks you to size the image
  • Select the image and use Outlook > Insert > Hyperlink and input the URL of the video page
