Microsoft made a change to Outlook which impacts all COM add-ins, here’s how to fix it.

Microsoft’s most recent Office update disables folder homepages in Outlook and as a result prevents PoliteMail users from being able to access Settings, Lists, Content, Campaigns or Results using the PoliteMail buttons.

The earliest affected version is Microsoft Office Version 1708 (Build 8431.2107 Click to Run) or Outlook version 2016 MSO (16.0.8431.2046)

For PoliteMail users running Version 4.7: Download the latest PoliteMail add in software. This client software will include an update to the registry key that will restore the folder homepage.

The new PoliteMail client software can be downloaded directly from this link:
https://www.politemail.com/client.zip

After installation is complete, restart your computer.

For users running PoliteMail Version 4.6 and below: It’s recommended to schedule an update of the software with our server support team at your earliest convenience. In the meantime, you can run a script that will update the registry key that will restore the folder homepage without downloading any new PoliteMail client software.

The script can be downloaded directly from this link:

After running the script, restart your computer.
